Painting with Light: TPK Elevates Its Lighting Design Capabilities
A lighting training programme empowers our professional architectural lighting team.
TPK Lighting specialises in landscape, cultural tourism and heavy-duty architectural lighting engineering. “Painting with light” describes how the design team combines optical planning, fixture selection and control to shape the built environment at night.
Translating Knowledge into Practice
To further refine its professional design capabilities, TPK Lighting sponsored key engineering team members to attend a lighting design school. The team absorbed professional knowledge and industry experience, delivering strong results in simulated lighting design exercises.
In this programme, four TPK Lighting engineers attended the lighting design school and all four passed the national examination, earning the state-certified Intermediate Lighting Designer (中级照明设计师) qualification. This is the first time TPK Lighting has certified in-house lighting designers at the national level, strengthening the team’s capability to deliver lighting schemes that are both visually precise and code-compliant.
They are now applying these optical concepts to the company’s real-world engineering projects — optimising fixture layout, beam angles and brightness distribution so that each scheme is both visually precise and energy-conscious.
“Lighting is the soul of a space. It illuminates the urban and rural fabric, outlines architectural silhouettes, and enriches human experience after dark.”
